2020-21 UNCW Basketball A-Z Guide

ADA ACCOMMODATIONS: Please find below a list of disability services currently provided at Trask Coliseum.  Prior to game day, guests with any special needs are encouraged to reach out to the UNCW Facilities & Event Management team at 910-962-3033 or gameday@uncw.edu. Our staff can assist in making arrangements for your visit and answer any questions.  If you have any questions on game day, please contact the nearest event staff member. 
  • Parking: ADA parking is located in Lot K & Eaton Plaza.
  • Seating: Accessible seating is located on the first row of sections 202-206.
  • Elevator: There is no elevator inside of Trask Coliseum. Guests in need of ADA assistance need to receive their ticket at Gate F. A UNCW representative will escort the individual to Nixon Annex (adjacent building to Trask Coliseum) for elevator assistance.
  • Restrooms: Accessible restrooms are on the second floor of the North Side of Trask Coliseum. The women’s restroom is located near section 206-207 and the men’s restroom is located near section 201-202.
ADDRESS: Trask Coliseum is located at 679 Wagoner Drive, Wilmington, NC 28403.

ALCOHOL/TOBACCO: Alcohol, illegal drugs and tobacco products are strictly prohibited from entering all UNCW Athletic events. Alcohol will be sold inside of the stadium but is not permitted to leave Trask Coliseum once purchased. Individuals violating this policy will have to dispose of any items deemed unacceptable by event staff and are subject to ejection from the stadium. Individuals violating this policy are subject to ejection from the stadium.

ALCOHOL SALES: Currently there will be no alcohol sales inside Trask Coliseum. All basketball operations and amenities are subject to change throughout the season.

ANIMALS: All animals are prohibited inside Trask Coliseum. Service animals are welcome. An Emotional Support Animal is not a Service Animal under this Policy or the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and will not be allowed into any UNCW Athletic Facility.

ATM: There are no ATM’s located inside Trask Coliseum. General patrons can find ATM’s within the Fisher University Union. See campus map (UNCW Campus Map) for the location of the Fisher University Union.

BABY CHANGING STATIONS: Baby changing stations can be found in all men’s and women’s restrooms.

BAG POLICY: UNCW enforces the “Clear Bag” policy for all Men’s & Women’s Basketball games at Trask Coliseum. Fans are permitted to bring in ONE approved bag from the Clear Bag Policy person (1 gallon clear Ziploc bag, Small purse/clutch 6.5”x4.5”, clear tote or logo clear tote bag 12”x6”x12”). Medical & diaper bags are permitted but will be searched and tagged upon entry. Diaper bags must be accompanied by a child. All working staff bags will be screened and tagged upon entry.

UNCW reserves the right to deny anyone or anything from entering the stadium. Any such item will need to be returned to the guest’s vehicle. UNCW is not responsible for any confiscated items.

For the safety of all in attendance, bags/items are not permitted to be left unattended outside of Trask Coliseum. Unattended bags/items found outside of the stadium will be dealt with in a manner deemed appropriate by stadium officials, including but not limited to disposal.  UNCW is not responsible for loss of any unattended items.

CAMERA POLICY: Handheld still cameras are permitted for personal use only.  No cameras are permitted into the stadium with a lens longer than five (5) inches.  Videos cameras are permitted to be used during pre-game and halftime only.  Video cameras are prohibited from filming the game. 

CONCESSIONS: There will be limited complimentary concessions available at Trask Coliseum this year. Bottle drinks and individually packaged snacks can be found behind section 204. We ask that guests limit themselves to one drink and one snack per guest. Concessions will be available 1 hour prior to game time and will close after halftime.

CONDUCT: UNCW Athletics expects all fans to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner at all times before, during, and after the competition.  We expect all fans to treat other fans, players, coaches and officials with courtesy.  Please join us in creating a fun, safe, family atmosphere at Trask Coliseum by not:
  • Interfering with other guests’ ability to enjoy the game;
  • Using/displaying foul or abusive language or gestures;
  • Appearing to be intoxicated or in a diminished capacity;
  • Failing to produce a ticket upon request or sitting in a seat that does not match your ticket;
  • Entering the competition or restricted access areas;
  • Smoking except in designated areas;
  • Throwing objects onto the competition area or within the venue; or
  • Otherwise being disorderly.
Violators are subject to ejection and possible arrest.  Fans should contact a stadium official if they feel someone is not acting appropriately. 

COVID-19: UNCW Athletics has put in place safety and cleaning procedures for the 2020-21 Basketball season. UNCW Athletics is committed to keeping its facilities, student-athletes, coaches, working staff and guests safe during their time inside Trask Coliseum. UNCW Athletics always requires all guests and working to wear a face covering while inside Trask Coliseum. We always ask that all guests and working staff self-assess themselves prior to coming to campus and maintain social distancing while inside Trask Coliseum.

Plenty of hand sanitizer stations have been strategically placed throughout Trask Coliseum, All facility areas such as but are not limited to: fan seats, locker rooms, restrooms, stairwells/handrails, door handles, gate entrances and other common areas are cleaned and disinfected throughout the week. These areas will also be cleaned and disinfected prior to gates opening, throughout the event and after the event.

DIRECTIONS: Directions to Trask Coliseum are listed below:
  • If Traveling To Wilmington Via I-40: I-40 becomes US 132/South College Road once the interstate ends. Continue traveling south on South College Road approximately 3 miles. Turn left onto Randall Drive at the traffic light. You are now on the UNCW campus. Take your first right onto Wagoner Drive. Trask Coliseum is located approximately 0.5 miles on your left.
  • If Traveling To Wilmington via US 74/76: After crossing the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge, US 74/76 is also called Dawson Street. Continue on Dawson Street approximately 1.5 miles. Dawson Street (US 76E) will bear right and become Oleander Drive. Continue on Oleander Drive approximately 2.5 miles until it intersects with US 132N/South College Road. Turn left onto South College Road. Travel approximately 1 mile north, and then turn right onto Hurst Drive at the traffic light. You are now on the UNCW campus. Take your first left onto Wagoner Drive.Trask coliseum is located on your right.
  • If traveling from North of Wilmington via US 17: US 17 becomes Market Street in Wilmington. Continue traveling south on Market Street. Go under the overpass at the junction of US 117S/132S, and immediately turn left at the traffic light onto South College Road. Continue traveling on South College Road approximately 1 mile. Turn left onto Randall Drive at the traffic light. You are now on the UNCW campus. Take your first right onto Wagoner Drive. Trask Coliseum is located approximately 0.5 miles on your left.
  • If Traveling From Wilmington International Airport: As you exit the airport, turn left onto 23rd Street. Turn left onto Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway. Continue to the US 132/South College Road intersection, and turn right onto South College Road. Travel approximately 2 miles. Turn left onto Randall Drive at the traffic light. You are now on the UNCW campus. Take your first right onto Wagoner Drive. Take your first left onto Wagoner Drive.Trask coliseum is located on your right.
EMERGENCIES:
  • During any emergency at Trask Coliseum, follow the directions of the PA announcer, Event Staff and emergency responders.
  • Always designate a pre-determined location both inside and outside the stadium to meet friends and family in case you are separated or in the event of an emergency.
  • Upon arriving at your seat location, first find the nearest exit and then locate an alternate exit in case of emergency.
  • See Something, Say Something – If you see or become aware of any activity that is unusual, suspicious or cause you concern, report the activity to the nearest event staff member.
  • Emergency vehicles may be present in and around Trask Coliseum.Please do not obstruct the path of travel of a fire truck or emergency vehicle or interfere with their operations.Vehicles or objects (tents, tables, tailgate games, etc.) blocking emergency vehicles, designated fire lanes, stadium exits or exit paths, or vehicle/pedestrian traffic in general will be removed and dealt with in a manner deemed appropriate by stadium officials.Vehicles are subject to be towed at the owner’s expense.
  • Monitor weather prior to the game.Take the necessary precautions to protect you, your family and friends in the event of severe heat or severe weather before, during or after the game.In the event of inclement weather during the game, please be prepared to evacuate the stadium and return to your car.
ENTRY TO TRASK COLISEUM: All guests will be asked to enter through Gate F and all working staff will be asked to enter through Gate E. No other gates will be open for entry. Please see notes below for additional information.
  • Gate F is located on the NW side of Trask Coliseum.Both General and Player/Guest Will Call is located at this entrance. This entrance is not ADA accessible. Please present your ticket upon entry or have a valid ID for Player/Guest Will Call.

ENTRY SCREENING: All people and/or items are subject to search. General patrons are subject to inspection for security purposes. FACE COVERINGS/MASKS: All fans and staff will be required to wear a face covering that covers the nose and mouth completely for entrance into Trask Coliseum. Face coverings will be required to be worn while they are in their seats or moving throughout Trask Coliseum. Face coverings are not a substitute for social distancing and fans are asked to keep a safe distance between their party and other fans while inside and outside of Trask Coliseum.

FIRST AID/EMERGENCY MEDICAL ASSISTANCE: Guests in need of first aid or medical assistance should contact the nearest event staff member.  In case of emergency, please dial 911. 

FLOHOOPS: FloHoops is the official streaming provider for the Colonial Athletic Association and UNCW Athletics for the 2020-21 men's and women's basketball season. A subscription is required to access games, which can be obtained at FloSports.com

GATES OPEN: Gates open 60 minutes prior to game time.

GUEST SERVICES: If you are in need of assistance or information, please find the nearest event staff member, contact UNCW Game Operations on Twitter at @UNCW_Gameday or via email at gameday@uncw.edu.

LOST & FOUND: If any item is lost or found in the stadium, please inquire about or report the item to the nearest event staff member.  All lost and found items not picked up prior to the end of the game will be will be available for pickup the following day. Please call (910)-962-3465 or email gameday@uncw.edu to inquire about lost items.  Unclaimed items will be retained for thirty (30) days following the event.  After that time, any unclaimed items will be discarded. 

LOST CHILD: In the event of a lost child or guest, please report the situation to the nearest event staff member as soon as possible. If a child or patron has been deemed lost by a guardian or fellow patron they should report the situation to an event staff member as soon as possible.

MARKETING ITEMS: For safety reasons, all game programs, stats and other items will be presented to fans digitally this year. Fans can access these items by visiting UNCWSports.com.

MEDIA/PHOTOGRAPHERS: UNCW Athletics will be limiting all media and photographers in attendance this season. All credential requests should be submitted to the Athletic Communications Office as soon as possible.

MERCHANDISE: There will be no merchandise sales at Trask Coliseum this year.

PARKING AND TAILGATE INFORMATION:
  • Vehicles are parked at the owner’s risk. Please lock your vehicle.
  • For safety reasons, tailgating is NOT permitted for UNCW Basketball events this season
  • GENERAL PUBLIC PARKING
    • ADA Parking can be found in Lot K and Eaton Plaza
    • All general public parking can be found in Eaton Plaza and Lot K.

In case of emergency, please dial 9-1-1 or call (910)-962-2222.UNCW Police will be the primary responder for on-campus emergency calls.If an emergency occurs and authorities are contacted, please designate someone in your party to help direct emergency personnel to the emergency location.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS: Please note that UNCW Athletics and UNCW are not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged items.

RE-ENTRY: Re-entry is NOT permitted at Trask Coliseum.

RESTROOMS: Men’s & women’s restrooms are located throughout Trask Coliseum. Listed below are locations for all restrooms:
  • Trask First Floor:
    • Men’s Restrooms: Gate C & Gate F
    • Women’s Restrooms: Gate E & Gate F
  • Trask Second Floor:
    • Men’s Restrooms: Section 207 & 221
    • Women’s Restrooms: Section 201 & 215
SEATING: All guests who were on the approved pass list at Gate F will be instructed to sit in Sections 202-206. Those sections will be the only areas that are permitted to sit. We ask that all fans always maintain social distancing while moving throughout Trask Coliseum and while they are in their seats. No fans will be permitted to the downstairs locker room or court areas at any time. Guests must coordinate all pre-game/post-game meet and greets outside of Trask Coliseum.

SEAHAWK CLUB PRE-GAME SOCIAL: There will be no Seahawk Club Pre-Game Social this year. The Seahawk Club has developed a “Virtual Pre-Game Social” for the 2020-21 season. For more information, please contact the Seahawk Club at 910-962-2731.

SIGNS/BANNERS: Signs and banners are permitted within Trask Coliseum. However, UNCW reserves the right to prohibit or require the cessation of any display of a banner or sign that obstructs the view of other guests, obscures stadium signage, can be considered an advertisement or is determined to be obscene, vulgar, indecent, inappropriate or derogatory.  

SKATEBOARDS/LONGBOARD/HOVERBOARDS: Skateboards, longboards hover boards and other transportation items are not permitted inside Trask Coliseum.

SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted at any UNCW Athletics events.

STUDENT TICKETS: There will be no complimentary student tickets.

TICKETS: Due to the guidelines and protocols set forth by the state of North Carolina. UNCW Athletics will be hosting basketball games with no fans. UNCW has approved the permission of a 25 person home pass list.

WILL CALL: Will call tickets may be picked up or dropped off at the main entrance to the UNCW Ticket Office at Trask Coliseum which is located at Gate F. All guests picking up tickets must present a valid, state-issued, driver’s license or photo identification card.
