UNCW Soccer A-Z Guide

ADA ACCOMMODATIONS: Please find below a list of disability services currently provided at the UNCW Soccer Stadium. Prior to game day, guests with any special needs are encouraged to contact the UNCW Facilities & Event Management Office at (910) 962-3235 or gameday@uncw.edu. Our staff can assist in making arrangements for your visit and answer any questions. If you have any questions on game day, please contact the nearest event staff member. 
  • Parking - ADA parking is located across from the main entrance to the UNCW Soccer Stadium on Hamilton Drive; adjacent to the UNCW Tennis Courts. Signage will be placed at the corner of Hurst & Hamilton Drive directing guests to the designated parking area.
  • Seating - Accessible seating is located along the front row of the grandstands. Seating is available on a first come first serve basis.
  • Restrooms - Accessible restrooms are located at the main entrance to UNCW Soccer Stadium.
  • Sidewalks - Accessible sidewalks are located along Hamilton Drive and lead to the main entrance as well as the grandstands. 
ADDRESS: The UNCW Soccer stadium is located at 751 Hamilton Drive, Wilmington, NC 28403.

ADMISSION: All UNCW Soccer games require a ticket for admission. Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for youth (15 & under). UNCW students & faculty/staff receive complimentary tickets with presentation of a valid ID. (Complimentary tickets for students & faculty/staff are subject to availability).

ALCOHOL/TOBACCO: Alcohol (other than beer and wine sold at the concession stands), illegal drugs and tobacco products are strictly prohibited at all UNCW Athletics events. Individuals violating this policy are subject to ejection from the stadium.

ALCOHOL SALES: Beer & Wine may be purchased at the concession stand located at the main entrance. Fans must be at least 21 years old to purchase alcoholic beverages. Alcohol sales will begin 60 minutes prior to kick-off and will end at the start of the second half.

ANIMALS: All animals are prohibited inside the UNCW Soccer Stadium. Service animals are welcome. An Emotional Support Animal is not considered a service animal under this policy or the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and will not be allowed into any UNCW Athletics facility.

ATM: There are no ATMs located in the UNCW Soccer Stadium. General patrons can find ATMs within the Fisher University Union. See the campus map (UNCW Campus Map) for the location of the Fisher University Union.

BABY CHANGING STATIONS: A baby-changing table can be found in the Gender Neutral/Family Restroom and at both the men’s & women’s restrooms at the main entrance. 

BAG POLICY: UNCW enforces the “Clear Bag” policy for all home athletic events. Fans are permitted to bring in ONE approved bag from the Clear Bag Policy per person (1-gallon clear Ziploc bag, Small purse/clutch no larger than 6.5”x4.5”, or a clear tote or logo clear tote bag no larger than 12”x6”x12”). Medical & diaper bags are permitted but will be searched and tagged upon entry. Diaper bags must be accompanied by a child. All working staff bags will be screened and tagged upon entry. UNCW reserves the right to deny anyone or anything from entering the stadium. Any such item will need to be returned to the guest’s vehicle. UNCW is not responsible for any confiscated items.

For the safety of everyone in attendance, bags/items are not permitted to be left unattended outside of any UNCW Athletics facilities. Unattended bags/items found outside of the facilities will be dealt with in a manner deemed appropriate by facility officials, including but not limited to disposal.  UNCW is not responsible for loss of any unattended items.

BIKE PARKING: Guests will find bicycle parking adjacent to the UNCW Tennis Courts and in front of the Almkuist-Nixon building. Additional bicycle parking can be found near Hanover Hall. UNCW is not responsible for lost or stolen bicycles. 

CAMERA POLICY: Handheld still cameras are permitted for personal use only.  No cameras are permitted into the stadium with a lens longer than five (5) inches.  Video cameras are permitted to be used during pre-game and halftime only. Video cameras are prohibited from filming the game. 

CONCESSIONS: A variety of food items and Pepsi products are available from the concession stand located at the main entrance to the UNCW Soccer Stadium.  The concession stand opens 60 minutes prior to the start of the game.

CONDUCT: UNCW Athletics expects all fans to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner at all times before, during, and after the competition. We expect all fans to treat other fans, players, coaches, and officials with courtesy and respect. Please join us in creating a fun, safe, family atmosphere at the UNCW Soccer Stadium by not:
  • Interfering with other guests’ ability to enjoy the game;
  • Using/displaying foul or abusive language or gestures;
  • Harassing athletes, coaches, officials, or spectators based on gender identity, gender expression, race, ethnicity, national origin, physical ability, sexual orientation, or religion
  • Appearing to be impaired or in a diminished capacity;
  • Failing to produce a ticket upon request or sitting in a seat that does not match your ticket;
  • Entering the competition or restricted access areas;
  • Smoking;
  • Throwing objects onto the competition area or within the venue; or
  • Otherwise, being disorderly.

Violators are subject to ejection and possible arrest. Guests should contact a stadium official if they feel someone is not acting appropriately.

CREDIT CARDS: UNCW concessions gladly accepts all forms of major credit cards for purchases.

DIRECTIONS: Directions to the UNCW Soccer Stadium are listed below:
  • If Traveling to Wilmington Via I-40: I-40 becomes US 132/South College Road once the interstate ends. Continue traveling south on South College Road approximately 3 miles. Turn left onto Randall Drive at the traffic light. You are now on the UNCW campus. Take your first right onto Wagoner Drive. When Wagoner Drive ends, turn left onto Hurst Drive. Turn left at the traffic light onto Hamilton Drive. The UNCW Soccer Stadium is approximately ¼ mile on right.
  • If Traveling to Wilmington via US 74/76: After crossing the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge, US 74/76 is also called Dawson Street. Continue on Dawson Street approximately 1.5 miles. Dawson Street (US 76E) will bear right and become Oleander Drive. Continue on Oleander Drive approximately 2.5 miles until it intersects with US 132N/South College Road. Turn left onto South College Road. Travel approximately 1 mile north, and then turn right onto Hurst Drive at the traffic light. You are now on the UNCW campus. Turn left at the traffic light onto Hamilton Drive. The UNCW Soccer Stadium is approximately ¼ mile on right.
  • If traveling from North of Wilmington via US 17: US 17 becomes Market Street in Wilmington. Continue traveling south on Market Street. Go under the overpass at the junction of US 117S/132S, and immediately turn left at the traffic light onto South College Road. Continue traveling on South College Road approximately 1 mile. Turn left onto Randall Drive at the traffic light. You are now on the UNCW campus. Take your first right onto Wagoner Drive. When Wagoner Drive ends, turn left onto Hurst Drive. Turn left at the traffic light onto Hamilton Drive. The UNCW Soccer Stadium is approximately ¼ mile on right.
  • If Traveling from Wilmington International Airport: As you exit the airport, turn left onto 23rd Street. Turn left onto Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway. Continue to the US 132/South College Road intersection and turn right onto South College Road. Travel approximately 2 miles. Turn left onto Randall Drive at the traffic light. You are now on the UNCW campus. Take your first right onto Wagoner Drive. When Wagoner Drive ends, turn left onto Hurst Drive. Turn left at the traffic light onto Hamilton Drive. The UNCW Soccer Stadium is approximately ¼ mile on right.
EMERGENCIES:
  • During any emergency inside the UNCW Soccer stadium, follow the directions of the PA announcer, Event Staff and emergency responders.
  • Always designate a pre-determined location both inside and outside the stadium to meet friends and family in case you are separated or in the event of an emergency.
  • Upon arriving at your seat location, first find the nearest exit and then locate an alternate exit in case of emergency.
  • See Something, Say Something – If you see or become aware of any activity that is unusual, suspicious or cause you concern, report the activity to the nearest event staff member.
  • Emergency vehicles may be present in and around the UNCW Soccer Stadium.Please do not obstruct the path of travel of a fire truck or emergency vehicle or interfere with their operations. Vehicles or objects (tents, tables, tailgate games, etc.) blocking emergency vehicles, designated fire lanes, stadium exits or exit paths, or vehicle/pedestrian traffic in general will be removed and dealt with in a manner deemed appropriate by stadium officials.Vehicles are subject to be towed at the owner’s expense.
  • Monitor weather prior to the game. Take the necessary precautions to protect you, your family and your friends in the event of severe heat or severe weather before, during or after the game. In the event of inclement weather during the game, please be prepared to evacuate the stadium and return to your car.
FIRST AID/EMERGENCY MEDICAL ASSISTANCE: Guests in need of first aid or medical assistance should contact the nearest event staff member. In case of emergency, please dial 911. 

ENTRY SCREENING: All guests bringing bags will be subject to screening upon entry to the UNCW Soccer Stadium. General patrons are subject to inspection for security purposes. Please check the prohibited items list below for all non-permitted items inside the UNCW Soccer Stadium. If you have any questions, please contact (910) 962-4245.

FILMING LOCATION: A small filming platform is located to the right of the media platform in the bleachers. The filming platform is to be used by authorized media, home and visiting teams only. Individuals needing access to this area should contact the UNCW Athletic Communications Office at (910) 962-3236.

FIRST AID: If you need first aid, please contact an event staff member immediately so they may assist you.

GATES OPEN: Gates open 60 minutes prior to game time.

GUEST SERVICES: If you need assistance or information, please find the nearest event staff member, contact UNCW Game Operations on Twitter @UNCW_Gameday or via email at gameday@uncw.edu.

INCLEMENT WEATHER:
  • UNCW Event Management utilizes DTN WeatherSentry software and notification services. UNCW Event Management will monitor the weather 24 hours a day and use the following policy in the event of severe weather: Evacuation will occur if the storm path will come within an eight (8) mile radius of the UNCW Soccer Stadium. In the event that the stadium needs to be evacuated, the PA Announcer will notify all spectators, who will be asked to clear the stadium as quickly and safely as possible.
  • The safest location for spectators during severe weather is in a hard-topped vehicle with the windows up. In the absence of a vehicle, UNCW Event Management Staff will direct spectators to a safe location. The stadium will remain closed until the storm is clear of an eight (8) mile radius. Resumption of play will only occur once an all clear has been given and conditions are deemed safe following consultation between the game officials and UNCW Event Management.
LOST & FOUND: If any item is lost or found in the stadium, please inquire about or report the item to the nearest event staff member. All lost and found items not picked up prior to the end of the game will be available for pick up the following day. Please call (910) 962-3465 or email gameday@uncw.edu to inquire about lost items. Unclaimed items will be retained for thirty (30) days following the event. After that time, any unclaimed items will be discarded. 

LOST CHILD: In the event of a lost child or guest, please report the situation to the nearest event staff member as soon as possible. If a child or patron has been deemed lost by a guardian or fellow patron, they should report the situation to an event staff member as soon as possible.

MAIN ENTRANCE: The main entrance to the UNCW Soccer Stadium is located off Hamilton Drive near the Boseman Softball Field and the UNCW Tennis Courts. The main entrance contains men’s, women’s and family/gender neutral restrooms, concessions, merchandise sales and ticket sales.

MARKETING ITEMS: UNCW marketing items such as schedules, roster cards, and magnets may be found at the marketing tent located near the main entrance.

MERCHANDISE: UNCW merchandise is located at the main entrance of the UNCW Soccer stadium. Cash and all major credit cards are accepted for purchase.

PARKING AND TAILGATE INFORMATION:
  • Vehicles are parked at the owner’s risk. Please lock your vehicle.
  • Free general public parking is available in the Greene Track Lot. This lot may be accessed via Hamilton Drive.
  • ADA parking is located along Hamilton Drive across from the main entrance and adjacent to the UNCW Tennis Courts.
  • Tailgating is permitted in the Greene Track Lot.Tents, tables, tarps or canopies ARE NOT permitted if they impede foot or vehicular traffic or if they extend into an additional parking space.

  • In case of emergency, please dial 9-1-1 or call (910) 962-2222. UNCW Police will be the primary responder for on-campus emergency calls. If an emergency occurs and authorities are contacted, please designate someone in your party to help direct emergency personnel to the emergency location.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS: Please note UNCW and the UNCW Department of Athletics are not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged items.

PLAYER ENTRANCE: The player entrance is located between the main entrance and the UNCW Intramural fields and is not an entrance for patrons into the stadium.

PLAYER GUEST PASS LIST: The player/guest pass list is located at the main entrance at the ticket office.

PROHIBITED ITEMS: The following items are prohibited from entering the UNCW Soccer Stadium:
  • Alcohol & Illegal Drugs
  • Animals (Service Animals Welcome)
  • Balls or Frisbees
  • Cameras with Lenses >5”
  • Coolers and containers (ice chests, thermoses, cups, bottles or other like containers)
  • Cans, Glass or Metal Containers
  • Confetti or Glitter
  • Fireworks, Flares or Any Explosives
  • Large Bags (Larger than 12”x12”x12”)
  • Laser Pointers
  • Outside Food or Drink
  • Personal Chairs
  • Remote Controlled Aircrafts (Drones)
  • Signs, Banners, or Flags that Obstruct View or Contain Inappropriate Language
  • Weapons of Any Kind
  • Anything Deemed Hazardous or Unsafe by Event Personnel
RECYCLING: Recycling bins are located at the main entrance and around the UNCW Soccer Stadium for your convenience.

RE-ENTRY: Re-entry is NOT permitted at the UNCW Soccer Stadium unless there is a doubleheader or UNCW is hosting a tournament. Fans must have their ticket to be admitted for re-entry. All items are subject to search upon re-entry to the stadium.

RESTROOMS: Restrooms will open 60 minutes prior to the start of the game.  Men’s, women’s and family/gender neutral restrooms are located at the main entrance. All restrooms are accessible for patrons with disabilities. 

SEATING: All seating is located on the west side of UNCW Soccer Stadium and is general admission, bleacher seating. Seating is available on a first come, first serve basis. Accessible seating is located on the front row of the grandstand. Guests are not allowed to stand along the fence at the front of the grandstand.

SEAHAWK DIGITAL NETWORK: The Seahawk Digital Network (SDN) is the official UNCW Athletics streaming and live stats service for all UNCW Athletics events. To access a schedule for streaming and live stats, please visit UNCWSports.com/Coverage.

SIGNS/BANNERS: Signs and banners are permitted within the UNCW Soccer Stadium. However, UNCW reserves the right to prohibit or require the cessation of any display of a banner or sign that obstructs the view of other guests, obscures stadium signage, can be considered an advertisement or is determined to be obscene, vulgar, indecent, inappropriate or derogatory.  

SKATEBOARDS/LONGBOARD/HOVERBOARDS: Skateboards, longboards, hoverboards and other transportation items are not permitted inside the UNCW Soccer Stadium.

SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted at any UNCW Athletics events. Smoking is permitted 25 feet outside of any UNCW campus building or facility.

TICKETS: Tickets may be purchased at the main entrance to the UNCW Soccer stadium starting one (1) hour prior to game time. Presale tickets can be purchased at the UNCW Athletics Ticket office located inside Trask Coliseum at the northwest entrance, by calling (910) 962-3233 or online at UNCWSports.com/BuyTickets. Business hours are Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Ticket prices vary by game and are subject to an extra $1 per ticket fee. All UNCW students & faculty/staff receive complimentary tickets with presentation of a valid ID. (Complimentary tickets for students & faculty/staff are subject to availability.)

WATER FOUNTAINS: There are two water fountains located at the main entrance between the men’s and women’s restrooms. 

WILL CALL: Will call tickets may be picked up or dropped off at the main entrance to the UNCW Soccer stadium at the ticket office. All guests picking up tickets must present a valid, state-issued, driver’s license or photo identification card.
