UNCW, Siddle Agree On Extension Through 2031

WILMINGTON, N.C. – The UNCW Department of Athletics and Head Men's Basketball Coach Takayo Siddle have agreed to a contract extension that extends through the 2031 season.

"We're grateful and excited with the success and direction of the program," said UNCW Director of Athletics Michael Oblinger. "With this agreement, we're looking forward to continuing to raise the profile of the program, department, and university."

Through six seasons, Siddle owns a 132-53 record and lifted the program to the NCAA tournament in 2025 and the NIT in 2026. In 2022, Siddle and the Seahawks won the Roman College Basketball Invitational.

In 2025-26, the Seahawks claimed their 10th regular season title and will carry a 26-6 record into the NIT.
