Three Seahawks Finish With Six Kills In Loss

TOWSON, Md. – Marnie Ursem, Lilly Sullivan and Meredith Keefer finished with six kills apiece for UNCW as Towson swept the visiting Seahawks (25-14, 25-18, 25-12) on Sunday in Coastal Athletic Association volleyball action at SECU Arena.

The Tigers remained at the top of the conference standings after improving to 6-0 in the league and 15-2 overall. UNCW, meanwhile, dropped to 2-4 in the CAA and 3-12 on the season.

Sullivan added three blocks for the Seahawks while Olivia Heidel had 14 assists and Hannah Forbes collected eight digs.

The Tigers had five players with seven or more kills and hit .379 on the match.

UNCW host Campbell on Oct. 10-11 for a pair of conference matches. The Seahawks will recognize alumni and honor the 2015 CAA Championship team on Oct 11.
