CONWAY, S.C. – Evan Miller scored a season-high 20 points and hauled in six rebounds in UNCW's 96-64 setback against Coastal Carolina in women's basketball action at the HTC Center on Wednesday night.
Miller shot 8-of-13 from the field, including 4-of-6 from beyond the arc, needing just three more three-pointers to reach 100 for her career. Miller has recorded seven double-digit scoring games in the 2024-25 campaign. Isis Fitch tallied 11 points, shooting 100% on five attempts. Taylor Henderson finished with nine points and four rebounds.
Coastal Carolina started the game on a 10-2 run and the Chanticleers held a 26-13 lead with 7:31 left in the second quarter. The Seahawks stormed back with a 14-2 run over the next four minutes to cut the deficit to one with 3:12 left to play in the opening half. Coastal Carolina went on a 13-0 run to end the second quarter that the Seahawks couldn't recover from. Miller had 13 points in the first half, shooting 5-of-7 from the floor with three three-pointers. The Seahawks also held a 25-19 advantage in rebounds at the break.
