Women's Soccer Drops Finale, 2-1

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Allie Planeaux scored her first goal of the season for UNCW, but Elon rallied past the Seahawks for a 2-1 win on Sunday at the UNCW Soccer Stadium.

The Phoenix raised its record to 12-3-1 (7-3 CAA) entering the Coastal Athletic Association championship tournament next weekend. The Seahawks concluded their season with a record of 4-9-5 and 2-5-3 in the conference.

Planeaux struck in the sixth minute to give UNCW a 1-0 lead. Lexi Vegoda and Emily Bowbliss earned assists on the play.

Elon drew even in the 28th minute on a goal from Ashlee Brehio and Lauren McCauley provided the eventual game-winner in the 42nd minute.
