Seahawks open CAA play in Philadelphia on Thursday

PHILADELPHIA, PA. – UNCW visits Drexel on Thursday when the Seahawks open their Coastal Athletic Association schedule with a 7 p.m. start at the Daskalakis Athletic Center.

The Seahawks posted a 9-3 record in non-conference action after falling at Arkansas on Dec. 30.

Drexel opened the CAA slate with a convincing 99-65 win over Hampton on New Year's Day. The Dragons went 7-6 in non-conference play and posted a win over nationally-ranked Villanova.

UNCW was picked second in the league's preseason poll of the coaches, Drexel, which features Amari Williams the preseason player of the year, was third.
