Falck Wins In UNCW Season Opener

CONWAY, S.C. – Reece Falck's straight-set win led UNCW in its season-opening 4-2 loss to UCF on Monday at the Stevens Tennis Complex in Conway, S.C.

UNCW won the doubles point behind the doubles pairings of Falck and Harold Huens and Bekhzod Rasamatov and Gabe Hurtado in the second and third positions, respectively.

Trailing 1-0 entering the singles portion of the match, UCF posted wins at the third, sixth, and fifth positions before wrapping up the win behind Liam Berger's three-set win over Hurtado (6-3, 2-6, 7-5).

Falck opened his season with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Francisco Llanes.

The Seahawks host Coastal Carolina on Feb. 2 at 1 p.m. in their home opener.
