Volleyball Swept By Tribe

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary powered its way past UNCW in a three-set sweep on Sunday in Colonial Athletic Association volleyball action.

The Tribe (6-4) and Seahawks (3-8) both moved to 1-1 in conference play.

KatIe Lanz led the Seahawks, who hit just .060 for the match and were aced nine times, with seven kills.

Caitlyn Callahan had five kills and three blocks.

Taylor Burrell had 14 kills and hit .520 on the afternoon for the Tribe. Sarah Callender added 10 kils and seven digs.

Emma Minnick finished with a double-double of 12 assists and 11 digs for William & Mary.

UNCW hosts the College of Charleston next weekend in a pair of conference matches on Sept. 24-25.
