Forty-four Student-Athletes Receive Degrees

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – A total of 44 Seahawk student-athletes are among the graduates this weekend in UNCW's Class of 2022.

The university's commencement exercises take place in Trask Coliseum on May 13-14, 2022 and will be accessible via livestream. More than 2,750 students (2,079 undergraduate, 645 master's and 26 doctoral) will be recognized for their accomplishments.

"We're extremely proud of all of our student-athletes," said Jimmy Bass, UNCW's athletic director. "They've worked very hard - inside and outside the classroom - to prepare for the future. We congratulate all of our student-athletes and their families on this significant milestone."

Two Seahawk student-athletes recently received impressive awards from the Cameron School of Business. Men's tennis standout Davide Innocenti received the CSB's award as the top graduate in Management and Leadership, while men's soccer senior Dominic Toone was recognized as the top student in Business Analytics.

With six student-athletes each on the graduation list, the baseball and women's track and field teams feature the largest groups earning degrees.
