BUIES CREEK, North Carolina – UNCW battled back from a pair of one-goal deficits against long-time rival Campbell on Tuesday night, but the Seahawks were unable to complete the comeback as the Camels used a goal in the 81st minute to earn a 3-2 non-conference men's soccer victory at the Eakes Athletic Complex.
The win elevated Campbell's record to 5-2-1 on the season while UNCW dropped to 4-3-0 after losing for the third time in the last four games.

Daniel Hernandez reclaimed Campbell's one-goal edge in the 55th minute, the Seahawks evened the score at 2-2 with 20:36 remaining in regulation. Graduate student forward

With 9:11 left in regulation, Campbell was awarded a penalty kick when Perrotta committed a foul inside the penalty area. Senior defender
Franck Momo stepped to the penalty spot and converted his attempt on a shot to the lower left corner of the goal.
Perrotta made seven saves in the loss for UNCW, which was outshot by a 15-11 margin. Rodriguez notched one save for Campbell, which has posted a 4-1-1 record in its last six contests.
UNCW returns to Colonial Athletic Association play on Saturday, Sept. 25 when the Seahawks host Delaware at 7 p.m. Campbell, meanwhile, opens Big South Conference play with a Saturday night home fixture against Radford.
