Suggs, Evans Homer In 10-4 Loss

STILLWATER, Okla. – Home runs by Oklahoma State's Christian Encarnacion and Nolan McLean gave the Cowboys an early lead on their way to a 10-4 win and a series sweep on Sunday at O'Brate Stadium.

The Cowboys won their fifth straight to push their record to 21-7-1 while the Seahawks slip to 15-12 with their third consecutive setback.

OSU's Justin Wrobleski (3-2) pitched seven strong innings for the win, allowing three runs and striking out five.

Encarnacion finished with a pair of hits and knocked in four runs.

Matt Suggs and Ron Evans both hit home runs for the Seahawks and Dillon Lifrieri added a RBI triple.

Kevin Pitarra and Evans both finished with two hits.

Ryan Calvert evened his record at 1-1 with the loss for UNCW.

How it happened: With two out in the first, Nolan McLean worked a walk and Encarnacion followed with his 10th home run of the season for a 2-0 lead. McLean led off the third with a home run, his seventh of the season.

Up next: The Seahawks host Coastal Carolina at 6 p.m. on April 14.
