Carol-Anne Obusek scored a game-high 20 points with 11 rebounds and junior guard
Za'Nautica Downs added 17 points off the bench as UNCW completed a sweep of its Colonial Athletic Association women's basketball series against Charleston with a 61-54 victory at Trask Coliseum on Sunday afternoon.

The Seahawks improved to 5-12 overall and 2-9 in the CAA after winning their second straight game. Charleston, meanwhile, dipped to 6-8 overall and 2-6 in the circuit with its fourth loss in a row.

Obusek, who recorded her seventh double-double in the last eight games, made 9-of-13 shots from the floor and was 2-for-3 from the foul line.
Za'Nautica Downs, meanwhile, was 3-for-9 from the field and hit 9-of-12 free throws to go along with five rebounds.

Camille Downs chipped in nine points, nine rebounds and six assists in the victory for the Seahawks.

- UNCW has won four straight meetings against Charleston, upping the Seahawks' lead in the series to 18-13 … The Seahawks are also 9-2 in the last 11 installments against the Cougars.
- The Seahawks won their first home game since Dec. 11, 2020, when they defeated UNCG by a 60-55 margin.
- UNCW outrebounded Charleston by a 49-30 margin, including a 12-11 edge in offensive rebounds … It is the seventh time this season the Seahawks have held the advantage on the glass.
- Led by Za'Nautica Downs, the Seahawks were 26-for-33 at the free throw line in Sunday's win over Charleston … The 26 made free throws are a season high for the Seahawks.
