WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW fifth-year senior forward
Audrey Harding could make a solid argument for having the best month of anyone around.
From receiving her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education to being the first student-athlete in UNCW women's soccer history to receive United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America recognition, the accolades have poured in for the Akron, Ohio, product.
But,
Harding's greatest achievement might have come last Saturday when she was taken with the No. 38 overall pick by the Washington Spirit in the National Women's Soccer League Draft. Harding joins former UNCW teammate
Sydney Schneider, a member of the reigning NWSL champion Spirit, as the only players in program history to be selected in the NWSL Draft.
Harding took some time to speak with
Eric Rhew of the Seahawk Digital Network on being drafted and her career at UNCW.
