Kayla McCauley scored the game-winning goal with 2:42 remaining as Northeastern outlasted UNCW, 1-0, in the first semifinal of the Colonial Athletic Association Women's Soccer Championship at Elon University's Rudd Field on Thursday afternoon.
The win elevated the fourth-seeded Huskies' record to 9-8-1 while UNCW, the regular season champion, fell to 11-4-1 on the season.
McCauley gave Northeastern a berth in the title game when she scored her first goal of the season. Freshman forward
