BUIES CREEK, North Carolina – Graduate student guard Sierra DaCosta scored a team-high 16 points, but it was not enough as UNCW was unable to overcome a fast start by Campbell in a 53-42 non-conference women's basketball loss at Gore Arena on Tuesday evening.

The loss dropped the Seahawks' record to 1-4, while Campbell improved to 3-2 on the season.

Redshirt senior forward Taya Bolden led Campbell to the victory with her second double-double of the season, scoring a game-high 17 points with 10 rebounds. Junior guard Faith Price came off the bench to score nine points after knocking down 3-of-4 three-pointers.

DaCosta, who reached double figures for the fourth time in five games, shot 5-for-14 from the field and converted all four of her free throws. She also grabbed four rebounds in 38 minutes.

Sophomore guard Evan Miller came off the bench to grab a career-high eight rebounds for UNCW, which dropped its fourth straight game.
