RADFORD, Virginia – Senior
Phillip Goodrum scored a goal and added an assist to lead UNCW to its first men's soccer win of the season, a 3-0 victory over Radford at Cupp Stadium on Thursday evening.
The victory moved the Seahawks' record to 1-2-0 on the season while Radford dropped to an identical 1-2-0 mark.

Danny Reynolds for his first goal of the season.
With the first half clock winding down, redshirt junior
Mason Schuster extended the advantage to 2-0 by taking a long pass from Goodrum and slipping a 10-yard shot past sophomore Sam Farrell.
Just under five minutes into the second half, Goodrum upped the UNCW lead to 3-0 with his first goal of the season off an assist from junior
Alejandro Saez.

Gabriel Perrotta tallied two saves to earn the shutout for UNCW, which outshot Radford by a 10-3 margin.
Game Notes:
- Thursday's game marked the first-ever meeting between the Seahawks and the Highlanders.
- The Seahawks scored three goals in a game for the first time since blanking No. 21 NC State by an identical 3-0 margin on Oct. 16, 2018.
- UNCW has outshot its opponent in all three games this season.
- The Seahawks shut out an opponent on the road for the first time since posting a 2-0 victory at Elon on Oct. 10, 2018.
- UNCW has now won 20 consecutive games when scoring three or more goals.
- Schuster's goal in the 45th minute was the first of his college career.
- Goodrum's goal was the 22nd of his college career and marked his first tally since Oct. 27, 2018, against William & Mary.
