TOWSON, Maryland – Redshirt sophomore guard Kionna Jeter scored a game-high 22 points and grabbed six rebounds as Towson earned a split of its Colonial Athletic Association season series against UNCW with an 82-61 women's basketball victory over the Seahawks at SECU Arena on Friday evening.
The win upped the Tigers' record to 14-9 overall and 8-4 in the CAA. UNCW, meanwhile, saw an end to its four-game win streak and dropped to 15-8 overall with an 8-4 mark against league foes.
Jeter, who scored 28 points in the first meeting at Trask Coliseum last month, made 10-of-19 shots from the field en route to her 11th 20-point game of the season.
Junior forward Nukiya Mayo added 17 points and nine rebounds while freshman center Janeen Camp chipped in 11 points with eight boards.

Chinyere Bell paced the Seahawks in the loss, notching her fifth consecutive double-digit scoring effort with 17 points while grabbing seven rebounds. Redshirt junior guard

Key Moment: Towson used a 7-0 run, including five points from Jeter, over the final 1:37 of the first half to take a 31-24 lead the Tigers did not relinquish. UNCW closed to within 38-36 midway through the third quarter, but Towson put the game out of reach with a 10-0 run later in the frame.
