TOWSON, Maryland – Senior
Dominique Martinez scored the game's only goal early in the first half as UNCW secured its third straight win with a 1-0 victory over Towson in Colonial Athletic Association women's soccer action at the Tiger Soccer Complex on Sunday afternoon.
The victory moved the Seahawks' record to 7-4-0 overall and 3-1-0 in the CAA while Towson fell to 3-8-1 overall and 0-3-0 in the circuit.

Led by junior
Sydney Schneider, the Seahawks limited Towson to just five shots en route to earning their third consecutive shutout victory. Schneider tallied one save in the contest.
Game Notes:
- UNCW improved to 15-4-0 all-time against the Tigers, including an 8-3-0 mark at Towson … The Seahawks have won six of the last eight meetings against Towson.
- In addition, eight of the last 10 games between the Seahawks and the Tigers have been decided by a one-goal margin.
- The Seahawks have recorded three consecutive shutouts for the first time since 2015 when UNCW had four straight clean sheets against James Madison, Towson, Charleston and Delaware.
- Sophomore Kennedy Temple made the first start of her college career.
- Schneider recorded the sixth solo shutout of her career, tying her with Jennifer O'Toole (1995) for ninth place on the program's all-time list.
- Moxley moved into a tie for fourth place on the Seahawks' single-season list with her seventh assist of the season.
