Volleyhawks Unable To Trip Up Dukes

HARRISONBURG, Virginia – James Madison extended its winning streak to 12-straight behind 19 kills from Bryn Recker as the Dukes topped UNCW, 3-1 (25-19, 25-23, 23-25, 25-16) on Friday in Colonial Athletic Association volleyball action.

The Dukes upped their record to 12-0 overall and 3-0 in the conference. The Seahawks fell to 6-10 and 0-4 with their fourth consecutive loss.

Madison Peters and Maddy Kline led UNCW with nine kills apiece while Michaela White had a double-double of 14 assists and a team-high 16 digs.

Recker was joined by JMU's M'Kaela White with 14 kills and a .435 hitting average.

The Seahawk next host Delaware at 7 p.m. on Oct. 6, in Hanover Hall.
