Molly McGarry each scored a goal in the second half as UNCW posted its first win of the season with a 2-0 victory over Dayton at UNCW Soccer Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The win evened the Seahawks' record to 1-1-0 while Dayton suffered its second straight loss to begin the season.
Waters gave UNCW a 1-0 lead in the 60th minute when she converted a penalty kick for her first goal of the season. McGarry upped the advantage to 2-0 with 19:32 remaining when she knocked in the first goal of her college career off assists from junior

Savannah Andrews.

Sydney Schneider earned the first shutout of her college career after making two saves, including a penalty kick attempt in the first half.
Junior Kaelyn Johns tallied one save in the loss for Dayton, which was outshot by a 12-4 margin. Â Â Â Â

- Waters moved into a tie for ninth place on the Seahawks' all-time list with her 19th career goal.
