Early Deficit Too Much For Diamond Hawks In Loss

DURHAM, North Carolina – North Carolina Central jumped out to an early seven-run lead and held off the Seahawks late as the Eagles beat UNCW, 8-6, on Saturday at the Durham Athletic Park.

The Eagles move back to .500 at 16-16 while the Seahawks remain winless on the road this season (0-8) and fall to 12-17.

Up next: The series concludes on Sunday with a 1 p.m. start from the Durham Athletic Park.
