Big Innings Sink Seahawks At Campbell

 
BUIES CREEK, North Carolina – Terence Connelly and Ryan Jeffers had two hits apiece for UNCW, but Campbell plated 11 unanswered runs in the fifth and sixth inning to top the Seahawks, 12-5, on Tuesday at Jim Perry Stadium.

The Camels ran their record to 18-22 with a sweep of the non-conference home-and-home series while the Seahawks dropped to 18-21.

Campbell's Alan Winans (3-4) earned the win, limiting UNCW to three runs over seven innings.

CU's Jeff Hahs was one of four players with two hits and finished with two runs and two runs batted in.

Austin Warren (2-4) took the loss for UNCW after surrendering six runs on seven hits and a walk in just two-thirds of an inning in relief.

Up next: The Seahawks host High Point at 6 p.m. on Wednesday.

How it happened: The Camels roughed up the UNCW bullpen for 11 runs over the fifth and sixth inning.
