WILMINGTON, North Carolina – Sophomore
Kali Jones posted three hits and scored a run as UNCW finished play at the Lafayette Ford Lincoln of Fayetteville Showcase by defeating Georgetown, 4-1, at Boseman Field on Sunday afternoon.
The Seahawks, who avenged a 5-1 loss against the Hoyas on Saturday, elevated their record to 17-6-1 on the season while Georgetown dropped to 7-17.
Jones, who recorded her third career three-hit game, spearheaded the Seahawks' eight-hit attack while senior
Lauren Moore added two hits while driving in a run.
Senior
Peyton Jordan allowed just one run on four hits en route to earning her eighth win of the season. She also tallied six strikeouts without issuing a walk.
