WILMINGTON, North Carolina – Sophomore guard
Timber Tate led four UNCW players in double figures with a career-high 20 points as the Seahawks earned their third win in the last four games, an 89-63Â victory over N.C. Central on Sunday afternoon inside Trask Coliseum.

The Seahawks, who scored a season-high 89 points, upped their record to 5-3 on the season while N.C. Central dropped to 2-4 after losing for the fourth time in the last five games.

Tate, who fashioned her third double-digit scoring effort of the season, paced the Seahawks after making 7-of-10 field goal attempts, including a 6-for-8 performance from three-point range, with three rebounds and three assists.

Madison Raque added 15 points with a career-high seven assists while redshirt senior forward
Jenny DeGraaf chipped in 11 points and seven rebounds.

Sophomore guard
Lacey Suggs reached double figures for the fourth consecutive game after coming off the bench to score 10 points after making four of nine field goal attempts.

N.C. Central, which opened a six-game road swing, was led by junior guard Rodneysha Martin's 20 points while junior guard Dominique Adams contributed 11 points. Â Â
