Nia Elbeck scored with 26 seconds remaining in the second overtime period as George Mason rallied to edge UNCW, 2-1, at the UNCW Soccer Stadium on Friday night.

The Patriots, who won their second straight road game, improved to 6-3-0 on the season. Meanwhile, UNCW dropped to 5-2-1 after suffering its second loss in the last three outings.

After a scoreless first half, UNCW claimed a 1-0 lead in the 48th minute when junior defender
Savannah Andrews tallied the first goal of her college career with a free kick from 35 yards that hit the crossbar and went into the goal.

The Seahawks held onto the advantage until the final minute of regulation when Mitchell tied the game by scoring on a rebound of a shot from junior midfielder
Kaila Williams with 23 seconds remaining.

Kirsten Glad made six saves in the win for the Patriots, who outshot UNCW by a 13-8 margin. Huddy posted two saves in the loss for the Seahawks. Â Â
