The Seahawks extended their school-record home winning streak to 14 games while raising their record to 28-10. The Panthers, who dropped their third straight game, fell to 26-16 with the loss and 8-10 on the road.

Thorburn, who raised his average to .359, scored three runs and knocked in two. Adding two-hit games for UNCW were Steven Linkous, Nick Feight, Casey Golden, who also scored twice and added two RBI's, and Kennard McDowell, who chipped in two RBI's also.
