WILMINGTON, North Carolina – Junior forward
Serenity Waters scored two goals, including the game-winning marker in the 92nd minute, as UNCW secured a berth in the Colonial Athletic Association Women's Soccer Championship with a 2-1 overtime victory over Elon at UNCW Soccer Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Seahawks, who improved to 10-5-3 overall and 4-3-2 in the CAA, won their second straight game. Meanwhile, Elon dropped to 7-9-3 overall with a 2-5-2 mark in league play.

Waters, who posted her first two-goal game of the season, secured the victory for the Seahawks when she took a pass from freshman midfielder
Brittany Matsinger and scored on a 20-yard blast for her ninth goal of the season.

Elon took a quick 1-0 lead in the fourth minute when
Kendall Bellotti headed in a corner kick from graduate student
Bria Bass for her third goal of the season.

The Phoenix held the advantage until the 77th minute when Waters knocked in a shot from inside the six-yard area to even the score.

Katelyn Fowler made two saves in the loss for the Phoenix, which were outshot by a 12-2 margin.
