WILMINGTON, North Carolina – Senior guard
Darius Faulk scored five of her 10 points in the fourth quarter as Hofstra used a late 10-0 run to rally past UNCW for a 68-64 Colonial Athletic Association victory at Trask Coliseum on Friday afternoon.

The Pride, which earned its fifth win in the last six games, upped its record to 12-3 overall and 3-1 in the CAA. Meanwhile, the Seahawks dropped to 5-10 overall and 1-3 in the league after losing for the fourth time in the last five games.
Faulk scored all five of her fourth quarter points during the game-deciding run to lead the Pride to the victory. She also contributed six rebounds with two assists and two blocked shots.

Ashunae Durant and junior guard
Kelly Loftus each tallied 21 points for Hofstra, combining to make 17 of 28 shots from the floor. Durant, who was 9-for-11 from the field, also grabbed a team-high eight rebounds while Loftus converted 8 of 17 field goal attempts, including a 3-for-6 effort from three-point range.

Shatia Cole paced UNCW in the loss by scoring a season-high 23 points, including 17 points in the first half. She made 9 of 16 shots from the field, including a 2-for-3 performance from long range, with three rebounds and two assists.

Rebekah Banks set a career high with 16 points with eight rebounds while junior guard
Naqaiyyah Teague contributed 14 points with three rebounds and three assists.

How It Happened: Trailing by a 61-58 margin with 3:09 left, the Pride scored 10 straight points to reclaim a 68-61 advantage with 13 seconds remaining. After Durant trimmed the deficit to 61-60 on a jumper with 2:24 remaining, Faulk scored five straight points over a 26-second span to give Hofstra a 65-61 edge.
