NEWARK, Delaware – Morgan Kline's 14 kills and 10 blocks by Meredith Peacock powered UNCW to a 3-1 win over host Delaware to give the Seahawks the fourth seed at next week's Colonial Athletic Association championship tournament in Charleston, S.C.

The Seahawks improved to 20-10 overall and 10-6 in the league. UNCW won 20 matches for the second straight season and raised their record win total in conference play to 10. The Blue Hens dipped to 15-16 and 8-8.

"We had another great team-blocking performance to force some crucial Delaware hitting errors, and Morgan Owney played very scrappy defense," said UNCW Head Coach Amy Bambenek following the win. "This was a low-error match for our hitters and I'm happy with the setter distribution and the execution from our outside and rightside hitters."

Kline's 14 kills gave her 1,009 career kills and moved her into sixth on UNCW's all-time list. Peacock also moved up the career-leaders list as her 10 blocks gave her 377 total blocks to rank third in UNCW history.

Kristen Powell and Nicole Lott each had nine kills apiece while Powell added five blocks. The Seahawks outblocked the Blue Hens, 14.5-7.

Delaware's Katie Hillman held match-high honors with 19 kills while Autumn Jenkins and and Chandler Bryant added 16 and 13 kills, respectively.

Defensively, Alexa Swann had five blocks and libero Taylor Hollingsworth had 22 digs for the Blue Hens.
