Walker Tabbed CAA Player of the Year

WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW senior Walker Isley was voted Player of the Year by the Coastal Athletic Association head coaches, becoming the seventh Seahawk all-time to earn the accolade, the league announced on Friday.

Isley, who was also named First Team All-CAA, was joined by senior Second Team selection Patrick Sparks on the All-CAA teams.

As a senior, Isley posted seven top-10 finishes, including runner-up finishes in both the Gopher Invitational and Daniel Island Intercollegiate tournaments. He compiled a 71.84 stroke average, tied for sixth on UNCW's single-season list, and recorded 19 rounds of par-or-better scores.

Isley will compete next week at the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional, where he was selected to compete as an individual.

Sparks wrapped up his collegiate career earning All-CAA honors for the second time. He finished sixth at the CAA Championships this spring and was the conference champion in 2023.
