White, Phillips Earn NABC All-District Honors

WILMINGTON, N.C. – With the NCAA tournament just around the corner, the NABC Division I All-District Teams were announced on Tuesday and Trazarien White and Shykeim Phillips were honored as first and second team honorees, respectively.

White, who was a second-team selection as a sophomore in 2022-23, led the Seahawks in scoring and rebounding as a junior at 19.8 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. He broke the 30-point mark in a game three times, including a 38-point effort at Campbell in late February. Earlier in the season he poured in 27 points in a win at nationally-ranked Kentucky. White was a first-team All-CAA selection for UNCW.

Phillips, meanwhile, earned All-CAA third-team honors following an impressive season that saw him post career highs in most categories. Phillips posted career-bests in scoring (14.1), field goal percentage (.526), assists (3.7) and steals at 1.9 per game. He became the first Seahawk to lead the Coastal Athletic Association in steals since Chad Tomko (2.2 per game) in 2009. Phillips concluded his career tied for UNCW's all-time games played, starts, points and steals.
