Beach Volleyball Preview: Islander Beach Classic

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - The Seahawks visit Texas this weekend for the Islander Beach Classic hosted by Texas A&M Corpus Christi beginning on March 15 against Houston Baptist.

UNCW (1-4) dropped its two matches last weekend at the Coastal Carolina Duals. Nationally-ranked South Carolina swept through the Seahawk lineup, 5-0, while host Coastal Carolina edged UNCW, 3-2.

The Seahawks will play the host Islanders at 2 p.m. EST to close out the Friday schedule and them play TCU and TAMUCC, again, on Saturday.

Senior Maddy Kline, who will be paired with sophomore Brynn Montgomery, needs one win to match Sarah Kelly's all-time wins mark of 41.

UNCW hosts the Dig and Dive Classic on Mar. 23-24 in its only home appearance of the season.
